01
Start with the service your guests actually receive
A Manhattan dining room managing pre-theater arrivals and a Brooklyn neighborhood restaurant building repeat custom may need different service rhythms. The starting question is the same: where does the operation stop delivering the experience the owner intends? We agree the business question before recommending changes.
The work can cover arrival, seating, ordering, kitchen communication, delivery, payment and complaint recovery. Observation follows complete guest journeys across agreed service windows, including busy periods and handovers. It compares what managers expect with what the team can reliably deliver.
02
Choose the engagement that fits the problem
An operational audit provides an independent diagnosis and prioritized improvement plan. A transformation project adds implementation, coaching and follow-up. Interim management is appropriate when the business needs agreed temporary leadership as well as advice. Scope and responsibilities are defined before work begins.
- Independent restaurants: uncover recurring friction in one operation
- Restaurant groups: compare execution and ownership across locations
- Hotel restaurants: connect dining service with the wider guest journey
- Relaunches: test whether a revised operating model works in service
03
Translate findings into everyday management
A recommendation should identify an owner, a practical change and a way to check whether the change helps. For example, a repeated wait at payment may require a clearer payment role and tool placement rather than a general request to work faster. Pilot the change during a comparable shift and review both speed and guest attention.
Measures are selected around the assignment: recurring complaints, recovery work, delays at service stages, order corrections or management follow-through. There is no universal target applied to every restaurant and no guaranteed financial return.
04
An operator's track record, applied to your context
Servicecraft's founder built and operated The Chicken Bar in Amsterdam, which reached Amsterdam's number-one TripAdvisor position within two months of opening and held it until April 2019. This is an Amsterdam operating case, not a New York client result or a promise of a future ranking.
The transferable work is practical: a deliberate welcome, attentive service, clear responsibility and reliable recovery when something goes wrong. Those principles are adapted to your concept, team and operating constraints.
05
Plan a New York assignment
Support is available for agreed projects in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island. Servicecraft works internationally and does not claim a New York office. Remote preparation, on-site observation and follow-up are scoped around the operation; travel and fees are agreed in advance.
For an initial discussion, share the concept, location, number of outlets, main operating concern and desired timing. Anonymized examples of recent service failures help define a useful starting scope.
